Mental Health & Addiction Recovery Services

In addition to economic and housing barriers, Darke County has struggled with an in-person provider shortage for some time. Recent waiting list scans have ranged from 10 days to 1 year. People in need of recovery and mental health care services often overcome significant barriers to ask for help, and when help is not readily available, it can increase the use of substances, relapse, mental health crisis, homelessness, job loss, and suicide.

Today, the community is more aware of mental health and recovery needs, but people seeking help are often met with closed doors. The Task Force is working to address this.
